E36 & E46 Trailing Arm Rear joint spherical Bearing conversion
SKU: E3646TARB
Weld in spherical bearing conversion for the connection of your rear control arms to trailing arm. Includes 4 steel bearing cups, 4 lock rings, 1 lock ring tool, 8 side spacers, & 4 PTFE lined low breakaway torque spherical bearings. The only way to get an all spherical bearing trailing arm, starting with the easy part, is to get the main RTAB (forward bushing conversion) sold separatey, which slip fits & is retained with a lock ring. Next, these 4 bearing cups weld into the rear of the trailing arm after the 4 remaining OEM plastic lined ball joints are removed using the following steps. Weld in the empty cups then spray paint as shown using rustoleum basic metallic gold seen here or the color of your choice. Slip the bearings in with green loctite on thr OD (bearing mount compound, not included) then fix the lock ring in place using our (included) tool and (not included) red loctite on the threads. Now you have a buttery smooth suspension action which along with our arms, increases response and eliminates flex. ***width of bearing spacers may interfere slightly with some aftermarket arms. Some sanding of spacer may be needed to fit into the RLCA and RUCA forks. Would be a direct fit with MAX arms.
