Model 3 Subframe Rear Lower Arm Bearing Conversion
SKU:TM3RLCAB
Although many rubber joints in the rear suspension can be replaced by bolting on aftermarket arms with spherical bearing joints, to increase response and feedback and predictable handling feel, the RLCA is different since it has no built-in joints. It just has two fork ends. The RLCA inboard rubber joints can be swapped out for maintenance free spherical bearing joints by easily pressing out the old ones and pressing in the new ones, by hand, at the turn of a wrench with a Universal Press and Pull Sleeve Kit Bushing Bearings Installation Kit as seen on Amazon (if the subframe is out of the car or with the help of our our custom short-sleeve tool (sold separately) you can easily do it while the SF is still mounted in the car. You have the opportunity to swap in solid subframe and drive unit mounts at the same time if you choose to drop the entire rear drive and suspension assembly as we've shown in our YouTube build series. If all that sounds scary, or unsafe, please find a professional shop for installation. The service.tesla.com Drive Unit - Rear (4DU) (Remove and Install) instructions provide vital process & safety information if you choose to do this job AT YOUR OWN RISK.
