MAX PRO coilovers have many of the best things you have come to expect from our brand like PTFE lined maintenance free bearing mounts, full tap independent pre-load and ride-height adjustability and a reliable damper which can be replaced in case you have some unintended contact on the track. New for 2022 - Ultra high range adjustable damper allows for the use of any spring up to 50kg without rebuild and retune.
1. Super Light Linear Spring & effective damping:
Specially tuned for Drifting. Get more grip and suspension compliance for higher powered cars due to the soft 10kg/mm rear spring rates, while maintaining steering response with the 20kg/mm in front. Japanese high tensile alloy wire is custom wound to be smoother than standard SiCr springs because the rate is more linear & they are comfortable on the street with increased useable stroke. A responsive damper adjuster and parabolic needle creates a great range of damping in an effective 32 click adjuster, which can be used through the top mount when the front upper bearing housing is aligned on center with the damper angle.
2. Helper springs and progressive bump stops:
Because of the very short suspension height in the corvette, we have taken measures to use the longest stroke damper possible so that the monotube oil capacity and gas chamber can hold more volume than other brands, and achieveing good suspension travel. In order to achieve a low ride height, a helper spring is used in the front. Progressive micro cellular foam bumpstops make sure that the chassis remains undisturbed near the end of suspension travel.
3. Spherical bearing upper and lower mounts allow the coilover to pivot freely when you are making changes to your track width. This allows the shock and spring to operate freely even if the coilover is mounted at an angle due to your control arm setup.
4. Air spring upgradeable:
You can change from coil springs to progressive air spring over dampers at any time for more traction and response to high frequency bumps and unparalled smoothness and anti bottom out character, perfectly paired with our simple static bag lines and fittings as seen on the shop C7 filled with nitrogen, or electronic management of your choice.
**NOTE: Due to long stroke shocks, these coilovers do not lower the C5 chassis very much compared to stock when using stock arms. When using extended control arms/steering angle kit, the ride haight can be adjusted much lower.
