S14 rack forward crossmember Center Section

DriftCave collaboration FormulaDrift legal rack forward center section & crossmember modification service is available now, after abuse testing was completed on Matt Field’s FDs14. This has 3 steps of forward adjustment to increase steering leverage & decrease Ackerman without offsetting the ITR, up to 40mm in front of the OEM position! The high surface area T bolt clamps are very thin to provide #LSx V8 swap oil pan clearance, even on s13 while preventing the rack from twisting or being crushed from clamping force. This will allow the rack to be swapped during a five minute time out & the clamp brackets themselves serve as a replaceable crash energy absorption point, saving the increasingly rare rack and crossmember from damage by minor incident. The rack height can also be dropped 10mm to clear #1JZ & #2JZ swaps. The center section is available from Parts Shop MAX as a DIY kit only so you’ll need a fab shop to brace the SF frame mounting points, cut the middle out & align our parts with holes in the bottom plane of the SF, and weld in the bar & plates. You can checkout in the cart with the option of sending your subframe to Drift Cave, while paying here for the kit, their service & return shipping. Allow a week for fabrication. Additionally you may choose to have us source a used OEM crossmember for you.
